Invitation to the Freiburg Internal Extracellular Vesicles Meeting – Get Together EV Researchers and EV-Interested, Friday, 25th October 2024

Dear Colleagues,

The Extracellular Vesicles research group of Prof. Irina Nazarenko at the University Hospital Freiburg is excited to invite you to the upcoming Freiburg Internal Extracellular Vesicles Meeting – Get Together EV Researchers and EV-Interested, which will take place on Friday, 25th October 2024, from 13:00 to 16:30 (open-ended). The event will be held at the Institute for Infection Prevention and Control in the Paul Ehrlich Seminar Room (3rd floor), located at Breisacher Straße 115 b, 79106 Freiburg.

We warmly invite scientists in Freiburg from all stages of their research careers, including principal investigators, senior and junior group leaders, postdoctoral researchers, clinical scientists, PhD and MD students from all faculties of the University of Freiburg, University Hospital Freiburg, Hahn-Schickard Institute, and interested researchers from the Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes who are engaged in any aspect of EV research, including:

  • Cell biology, signal transduction and EV
  • Molecular mechanisms of EV biogenesis and function
  • Liquid biopsies and biomarkers
  • Methods for EV isolation from different biofluids
  • Methods development
  • EV biomimetics
  • Therapeutic EVs
  • EV mathematical modelling
  • Others

If you are interested in analysing EVs for your research project or exploring any additional EV-related topics, we would be thrilled to have you share your insights at our meeting.

This meeting will be a great opportunity to meet other researchers from Freiburg interested in EVs, establish collaborations, expand awareness about EV research and its possibilities, and foster social interactions among participants. We are committed to contributing to the scientific community and eager to share insights and learn from one another to accelerate our research efforts. Please find attached the agenda for our upcoming meeting.

Note that the registration deadline is 11th October 2024. Here is the registration link:

On the map of the University Hospital (https://www.uniklinik-freiburg.de/fileadmin/mediapool-zentral/Lageplaene_Standard/Zentralklinikum.pdf), our institute is labelled E3. Please double-check this carefully as Google Maps might direct you behind our building. Simply follow the signs to the Blutspendezentrale (Blood Donation Center), the meeting takes place in the same building.

We look forward to seeing you and to fruitful discussions.

Warm regards,

Irina Nazarenko
