SONY Full Spectral Analyzer ID7000 ("Kusama")
Our most powerful flow cytometer is the SONY ID7000 Full Spectral Analyzer with 5 lasers (355, 405, 488, 561 and 637nm excitation wavelengths). It has several novel spectral detectors, allowing the unmixing (separation) and analysis of multiple, even spectrally overlapping fluorochromes, simultaneously. It can distinguish between FITC and GFP or YFP and GFP e.g.. In total 147 fluorescence detector channels suitable for 40 and more fluorochromes simultaniously.
Content of the SONY ID7000 ("Kusama") Full Spectral Analyzer Introduction Course
Successful participation of the SONY SP6800 “Georgia O'Keeffe” introductory course is a prerequisite for participation in these courses.
In detail:
- Principle & construction of this flow cytometer
- Startup operations, operation and shutdown procedures
- Usage of the autosampler
- Sample preparation
- Sample measurement
- Sample handling and disposal of GMOs according to the “Gentechnikgesetz (GenTG)”
- Spectral overlap compensation/unmixing
- Operating ID7000 software
- Troubleshooting
- Operating booking system and input screen (for billing)
- Visiting of the introduction to SP6800 ("Georgia O'Keeffe") is mandatory before an introduction to the SONY ID7000 ("Kusama")
Advanced user introductions for the Sony ID7000 ("Kusama") Full Spectral FACS Analyzer take place in the Lighthouse Core Facility, ZTZ, ground floor, room 009, bay 3 at the Sony Analyzer (follow the signs) usually from 9:00 AM to about 1:00 PM at the dates listed below. The introductions are held including hands on parts.
The events are limited to a max. no. of 2 participants at a time. The introductions can be in German or English. If you are interested please email us (kusama(ät)core-facility.de and date of the training you would like to book) for a binding reservation.
Visiting any introduction is still free of charge but required before using the Sony ID7000 ("Kusama") Full Spectral Analyzer at the Lighthouse Core Facility.
Please bring pen and paper for your notes in any case and your own lab coat if you are based at ZTZ. For external guest only we are happy to provide guest lab coats and lockers.
