Inhalt | This presentation explores the critical link between climate change and human health, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Through case studies in Africa and Asia, we assess the long-term impacts of changing weather patterns on health, including cardiovascular issues, malaria prevalence, and overall population well-being. The research draws on health and demographic surveillance systems (HDSS), wearable technology, and remote sensing data to identify vulnerable populations and evaluate the effectiveness of adaptation strategies. The findings underline the need for tailored interventions to mitigate health risks in regions disproportionately affected by climate change. |
