Unique Atmosphere at Historisches Kaufhaus Freiburg

The Historisches Kaufhaus (Historical Merchants’ Hall) is the most traditional building in Freiburg. The history of the building dates back to the year 1520. Back then, it was used for storing goods and issuing customs clearances. Nowadays, its dark-red, sumptuously decorated turrets and arcades are still flashing.

Inside, the venue for events and conferences also offers a unique atmosphere. The kick-off Meeting will take place in the Kaisersaal (Emperor’s Hall) with its mighty oak columns that support the historic plasterwork ceiling.

But it’s not only the atmosphere, which is special at the Historisches Kaufhaus, it’s also the location directly at the Münsterplatz, the heart of Freiburg. You can get there easily with public transportation, by car or bike.
