We are pleased to invite Early Career Researchers (ECR) from across the SPP sub-projects to an online workshop designed to enhance their scientific writing skills. This workshop focuses on improving writing style, refining the writing process, and mastering the art of narrative in research papers, reports, and publications. Additionally, we provide long-term support for your publishing journey after the workshop.

Process – Discover strategies to make your research and writing process more streamlined, enjoyable, and productive.
Narrative – Explore how to draw readers into your work and maintain their interest throughout the text, turning complex ideas into compelling stories.
Inspirational Lectures – Engage with captivating talks and real-world examples from renowned authors in your field.
Interactive Sessions – Engage in discussions and hands-on exercises designed to help you improve your writing style.
Peer Workshopping – Receive feedback from your peers and give feedback on others’ work, enhancing your own learning.
Resources – Receive handouts, suggested readings, and additional tips to continue improving your writing.
Guidance – Learn from an experienced writing coach who works with researchers across disciplines.
Following the workshop, you have the opportunity to receive four individual coaching sessions, which you can schedule flexibly during the whole duration of the SPP. Whenever you are in a paper writing process during this time, you can take advantage of this personalized support. These 1:1 online sessions include personalized feedback on your manuscript, strategic writing advice, language revisions and optional screencast feedback for structural reviews.

The workshop will be led by Jeremiah Hendren, a writing coach with extensive experience working with researchers across various fields. Jeremiah’s approach combines style, process, and narrative to help researchers communicate their ideas more effectively and engagingly.

The number of participants is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that coaching places are limited and workshop participation does not automatically guarantee access to the coaching program.
