At the Implant Centre Freiburg, implants manufactured by all four CI manufacturers are used:
In alphabetical order, the companies are: Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, MED-EL and Oticon medical.

In addition to Cochlear Implants (CI), Brainstem Implants (ABI), BAHA-Systems and implantable hearing aids are used. 

The companies Advanced Bionics, Cochlear Ltd. and Med El offer 3-Tesla-capable implants. The Neuro Zti Implant from Oticon can be worn in MRT-examinations of the body and head up to a power of 1.5 Tesla with applied magnets. The image quality of the Magnetic Resonance Tomography in the head is diminished by the implant. For this reason, all manufacturers recommend temporarily removing the magnet prior to MRT-recording in the head area.

Where appropriate, acoustic fitting is possible in addition to electrical fitting if only the high-tone range is affected by hearing loss but the low-tone area in the same ear is still good enough that it can be treated with a hearing aid (electro-acoustic stimulation or hybrid treatment), or deafness to a different degree exists in the other ear which can be treated with a hearing aid (bimodal treatment).
