Mindfulness in everyday clinic work: a smartphone-based project
Working at the clinic can be challenging and very stressful. We have developed a mindfulness programme that is specifically tailored to the needs of clinic staff and takes place via smartphone.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a basic attitude that can be learned, in which one directs one's attention intentionally and non-judgementally to the present moment. In doing so, one encounters oneself and one's environment in an open and accepting attitude. Mindfulness has been shown to improve
- mental and physical well-being
- the ability to relax and remain calm
- job and life satisfaction
- concentration and memory
Our online mindfulness programme
The programme takes place conveniently via smartphone. For 30 days, participants receive a message every morning with a short input on the topic of mindfulness and a small practical exercise that can usually be integrated into their daily work routine.
The aim is to pause regularly and reflect briefly in order to find more serenity and well-being even under high workloads and stress.
Participation requirements
Participation is free of charge and is aimed at employees in the health sector. The programme takes place within the framework of a small study. This consists of a questionnaire before and after the programme (duration 5-min each, anonymous participation).
