Department of Neurosurgery
We treat patients with diseases of the brain, spine, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. We offer surgical treatment for diseases which cannot be cured using conservative methods.
As a maximal medical care center, we provide a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures based on the latest developments in research and technology. In providing optimal medical care, the focus is on the individual patient. Coordination of the treatment of each patient with his/her individual needs is important to us to facilitate recovery.
The ring sculpture in front of the Neurocenter is the work of art of the Japanese artist Kazuo Katase.
Comprehensive medical and nursing care is rendered possible by the close proximity to and the collaboration with the other Neuro-medicine departments under the roof of the Neurocenter. You as a patient will benefit from the outpatient as well as the impatient treatment and consulting services.
High quality service is our primary goal. To achieve this high quality standard and meet the requirements of optimal patient care, efficiency as well as future-oriented research and teaching, we have established an elaborate quality management system in our department. This guarantees constant development in all areas to obtain the best possible care to our patients and outstanding achievements in research and teaching.
With a variety of research projects we ensure the best possible diagnosis, treatment and recovery of our patients. Only future-oriented research creates high quality medical standards.
