The Center for Urogenital Tumors is specialized in the interdisciplinary treatment of patients with urological cancers. We offer the entire spectrum of urological diagnostics.
Thanks to the most modern surgical robot currently available (da Vinci), we can perform minimally invasive and particularly gentle kidney cancer surgery. The operations can be performed with very high precision, thus ensuring high patient safety and optimal recovery. The Medical Center – University of Freiburg is currently the only hospital in South Baden to use this robotic surgical system. Find out more (in German)
Other foci of our center include minimally invasive therapeutic methods, reconstructive surgery, and drug treatment.

At the interdisciplinary tumor conference, a competent team of specialists in urology, radiotherapy, oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, and pathology discusses and plans the further procedure for tumor diseases in the area of the urogenital tract, which requires an interdisciplinary approach. The minutes of the meetings are sent to the general practitioner and urologist treating the patient. Patients are registered by their doctor.
