For this purpose, a molecular biology laboratory equipped with the latest technology is available.
The PhD project is situated in the area of statistics and bioinformatics related to epigenetic mechanisms in psychiatry and psychotherapy, including conducting epigenome-wide association studies (EWAS) and meta-analyses to investigate the mechanisms underlying mental disorders and treatment response.
Your tasks:
- quality control and processing of genetic and epigenetic data, including biometric database generation
- statistical analysis of genetic and epigenetic experiments (e.g., epigenome-wide analysis of DNA methylation)
- implementation, optimization, and application of novel methods
- scientific analysis, interpretation, and publication of research data
- opportunity to participate in data collection and planning of follow-up experiments
- participation in administrative tasks within the group
We offer:
