Centre for Research Excellence in Reducing Healthcare Associated Infection (CRE)
Abstract
The CRE will generate new knowledge about how scarce resources should be used to reduce healthcare associated infection in Australia. A major output will be data on the cost-effectiveness of infection control programmes to inform health care decision-makers about how to improve patient outcomes, save resources and save lives. The team of experienced chief and associate investigators will develop research capacity among seven post-doctoral researchers and ten PhD students.
