The junior research group of Dr. Anne Lösslein together with the research group of Prof. Dr. Philipp Henneke at the Institute for Infection Prevention and Control, University Medical Center Freiburg, is offering as soon as possible a

PhD Position in Immunology and Infectious Diseases (m/f/d)

We are looking for a highly motivated scientist (m/f/d) holding a Master in the areas of Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology etc. for an innovative research project on the role of macrophages and stromal cells in mycobacterial infections. 
The project involves cutting-edge methodologies, e.g. fate-mapping and reporter mice, infection models, multi-colour FACS, advanced imaging techniques and gene expression profiling.
The project is integrated into the DFG-funded research consortium NeuroMac (CRC/TRR 167) and the PhD work will be performed within the international Integrated Research Training Group of the CRC/TRR 167 (NeuroMac school).
The successful applicant will be part of an interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment at the Institute of Infection Prevention and Control.
